New lab to boost jobs

17 Jan 2017 Country News insert, Shepparton VIC (General News) Victorian Regional Development Minister Jaala Pulford officially announced the next phase of the Product Innovation Science Lab Centre in Echuca recently, to complement EB Mawson and Sons concrete and quarrying business. The Andrews Government has underwritten the development of the new centre, which Ms Pulford said would boost jobs and productivity. Were proud to be a part of a project that supports the construction industry, generates jobs, creates innovative products and promotes economic growth in regional Victoria, Ms Pulford said. The new lab project, which will boost production, save costs, enable quicker response times and generate product innovation, will create eight new full-time jobs, bringing the companys total workforce to 338. Ms Pulford said the investment would provide a boost in business and construction for Echuca, meaning more jobs for the region across the supply chain. The Andrews Labor Government is investing in real employment opportunities that sustain and grow our local economies this is a prime example of a company that will help the Echuca community thrive, State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
