That space known as the green pod will soon be transformed with $200,000 from the state governments inclusive schools fund. Belvoir assistant principal Ebony Mitchell said since the Gayview Drive site was secured for Belvoir four years ago, the school had been working on improving external areas. This area is uneven and in wet weather becomes unusable for wheelchairs, she said. The new inclusive playground will have a range of different surfaces and sensory experiences. We hope construction will start in the summer holidays. The Life Skills house is also going well the ground has been levelled and marked up. Northern Victoria MP Jaclyn Symes and Benambra Labor candidate Mark Tait visited the school, and earlier were at Wodonga Rendering to announce an unspecified contribution to the companys multi-million dollar investment in energy efficiency. Their power savings through innovation have well exceeded what they expected and they think they will make their money back, Ms Symes said. Its securing their future and making sure their equipment is up to date. The grant will support the companys energy reduction initiatives across its operations including the high temperature rendering plant, processing, abattoir and cold storage facilities.
