Seven Sunraysia schools to get digital upgrade

24 May 2017 Sunraysia Daily, Mildura VIC (General News) SEVEN schools in Sunraysia will soon receive better digital connections to aid students education. The Victorian Government selected 347 small rural and regional Victorian government schools to be included in a $16.4 million statewide investment to improve bandwidth and digital connectivity. The selected Sunraysia schools are Koorlong Primary School, Underbool Primary School, Red Cliffs East Primary School, Cardross Primary School, Sunnycliffs Primary School, Nangiloc Colignan & District Primary School and Werrimull P-12 School. Murrayville Community College will also be funded. The investment aims to provide schools with faster and more reliable access to online teaching and learning resources and an extended choice of subjects. Labor Upper House Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said 160 Northern Victorian schools would benefit from the funding boost. We are doubling the bandwidth provision to 347 country schools 160 in northern Victoria to make sure all students can access a first-rate digital education regardless of where they live, Ms Symes said. We are investing in schools because we want local students to have the standard of digital education as metropolitan schools. The total funding going to each school was yet to be announced.
