CFA District 12 Brigades will receive $120,892 for operational equipment and Storz conversion for appliances including tankers and quick fills as part of the $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program. Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state. Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, has announced that CFA and VICSES units in Northern Victoria will share in more than $2 million in funding. The grants will assist emergency volunteers in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.
This is an exciting day for our amazing volunteers in Northern Victoria and I congratulate all our grant recipients and hope that it assists them in the outstanding job they do in keeping the community safe, Ms Symes said. The Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants Program has been established to ensure emergency management volunteers can continue to deliver their crucial work, protecting Victorian properties and lives.
