Build support
04 Jul 2018 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News)
It is official the Victorian Government has given $200 000 to support the rebuild of a community hall in Tallarook.
Tallarook Farmers Market manager Cynthia Lim said it was a delight to hear Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes make the announcement on Sunday.
The market is enjoyed by many as a monthly meeting place and also a regular space to shop for local produce, Ms Lim said.
In the depths of winter it was so great to see so many people out supporting the market and stallholders continue to note the increase in patronage of our market and the dynamics of the new site.
Ms Lim was grateful to all the community groups who pulled together to make Sundays market any other success.
Seven Hills Tallarook brought live goats for children to see, Seymour Show brought paints for children to paint gum leaves and pine cones to practice their skills for the Show in October . . . and the Tallarook CFA and Tallarook Rural Supplies are ever present and helpful while still teething out issues at the new site at Railway Place, she said.
Mitchell Shire Council are also on hand and very helpful to ensure the temporary new site runs smoothly.
The Tallarook Farmers Market is on the first Sunday of every month (except January).
