12 Oct 2016 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News) Local residents wont have to worry about turning into pumpkins after midnight if they miss the last train home from Melbourne. The regions first weekend night coach begins this Friday, offering city-goers a safe journey home after a night out on the town. The coach will stop at all train stations along the Seymour line, as well as offering a drop-off in Wallan and Kilmore. Passengers are also able to hop on the bus at most destinations along the line, allowing anyone who may be visiting friends or attending events in nearby towns to also get home with ease. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes, who was instrumental in getting the night coach off the ground, was in Seymour on Friday to inspect the bus, which will be taking passengers from Southern Cross Station and dropping them off at their destinations. Ms Symes said the night coach will run on a trial basis, leaving Melbourne at 2 am and travelling to Seymour and on to Puckapunyal (on demand). Im very pleased to have secured this trial service for local residents and I hope they take full advantage of it, Ms Symes said. The inclusion of a Seymour night service is sure to provide extra incentive for residents to spend more time in the city after dark. The service will provide residents with a safer and more affordable way to get home on the weekend.
