Eildon local finalist for protection award

06 Sep 2017 Yea Chronicle, Yea VIC (General News) DR Anita Morris, the Department of Health and Human Services Principal Practitioner, has been named as a finalist in the 2017 Victorian Protecting Children Awards. Dr Morris, who is from the Eildon area, is one of three finalists for the Robin Clark Leadership Award which recognises individuals, teams or groups at any level that inspire others to act wisely and care deeply about achieving the best outcomes for all children, young people and their families. They may mentor, support, encourage or educate others. Nominees are visionary and innovative in their approach to practice, policy or research and education. I congratulate Dr Morris for her tireless work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children, Member for Eildon Jaclyn Symes said. These awards highlight the important work of individuals, organisations and members of the wider community in their bid to protect and ensure the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. The awards recognise people who dedicate their lives to protecting children and dedicated child protection staff from across the state, along with family support and innovative educational programs, and contributions to child protection policy and practice.
