This is an exciting day for our amazing volunteers in Northern Victoria and I congratulate all our grant recipients and hope that it assists them in the outstanding job they do in keeping the community safe, Ms Symes said. The Andrews Labor Government is supporting the significant contribution of more than 100 000 emergency management volunteers, investing in equipment, training and facilities to keep our communities safe. The Emergency Service Volunteer Sustainability Grants Program has been established to ensure emergency management volunteers can continue to deliver their crucial work, protecting Victorian properties and lives. The CFA was unavailable for comment. On the subject of library funding Ms Symes said Labor understood the importance of libraries to country Victorians. Country Victorian communities rely on our public libraries, thats why the Andrews Labor Government is doing more than ever to help continue the many wonderful programs and services they provide.
