WAHGUNYAH will get a Mens Shed after winning state funding. Wahgunyah was one of 15 successful Mens Shed projects the Andrews Labor Government has announced will be built across Victoria as part of its $750,000 Mens Shed grants round. The Mens Shed focuses mainly on men aged in their 60s, with the idea being to create a space for new skills, connections and the ability to give back to the community. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the funding would bolster Wahgunyah. This new funding will help provide a bright future for the group to continue its activities and benefit the whole community, she said. I encourage everyone in the community to support the Wahgunyah Mens Shed project and check out their new home once its finished. The aim of mens sheds is to reduce social isolation and promote inclusion, as well as enhancing health and wellbeing.
