Increasing clubs capacity, skills

27 Jan 2016 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News) Local sports clubs can obtain funding for equipment and uniforms through the Governments Sporting Club Grants program. Clubs can apply for grants of up to $1000 for modern equipment, or team uniforms, while grants of up to $5000 are available for clubs to strengthen their operations or sustainability. The grants are aimed to improve the capacity of clubs or increase the skills of their coaches, officials, and managers. The Labor Government wants all Victorians to have access to great grassroots sport, no matter where they live, and the Sporting Club Grants Program does just that, Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said. Sports clubs are the lifeblood of country Victorian towns, where families get together and kids find role models and have fun. Northern Victoria is proud to be home to some great grassroots sports clubs, and I want to help them continue to grow.
