GANNAWARRA Shire Council will receive $83,000 in State Government funding to seal a section of McFarlane Road at Lake Charm. The funding part of the governments Local Roads to Market program will provide better services for residents and trucks that use the road, located on the eastern shores of Lake Charm. Agriculture in northern Victoria is one of this states most important industries and we are determined to help our farm businesses and their supply chains improve productivity and compete in international markets and create jobs, Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes said. We are making improvements where it counts sealing gravel roads, fixing tight and dangerous intersections and strengthening bridges to get our great northern Victoria produce to market quickly and in top quality condition. These upgrades will improve agribusiness and supply chain productivity and improve the country road network for all users. Round one of the Local Roads to Market program is funding 30 projects, worth $22.2 million, across 27 local government areas. Licensed by Copyright Agency.
