24 May 2016 North Central Review (Kilmore), Melbourne (General News) MEMBER for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, officially reopened Moore Court Reserve in Kilmore today. Ms Symes said Kilmore now has a new community play space that caters for Kilmores significant population growth and shortage of parks and open spaces. This project provides an upgraded play space for younger and older children, improved accessibility and landscaping throughout the area, Ms Symes said. The broader Kilmore Play Space project also includes an upgrade to Kilmores Hudson Park, which is due for completion later this year. The Labor Government recognises that councils like the Mitchell Shire are facing a number of challenges as some of Victorias fastest growing communities. The State Government provided $100,000 for the Kilmore Play Space project as part of the $50 million Growing Suburbs Fund which targets high priority projects in Victorias 10 interface councils. The Growing Suburbs Fund (formerly the Interface Growth Fund) helps the booming outer communities build local facilities such as family and community centres, town centres, parks and reserves and playgrounds. This is a great project that provides a safe place space for young children and their families in the most densely populated section of Kilmore, Ms Symes said. This project has made the Moore Court reserve safer, more inclusive and something for the Kilmore community to be proud of.
