SMALL businesses in the Kilmore area will be able to access relevant and reliable information on growing their business at a seminar in Kilmore. The seminar will be held at the Kilmore Library at 6.30pm tonight, Tuesday, July 14. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said businesses and prospective business owners can be provided with the facts and advice needed to make informed decisions and create a platform for ongoing success. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get the latest business advice from the experts, Ms Symes said. Businesses constantly evolve and these sessions are aimed at helping Kilmore businesses to thrive in challenging and changing environments. Last year more than 4000 people participated in Small Business Victorias workshops and seminars across Victoria. Popular topics in the program include starting up, financial management, employment and marketing. All workshops and seminars are delivered by private sector business specialists who are well-qualified and experienced in small business. More than 500,000 Victorian small businesses provide almost half of the states private sector jobs and contribute around a third of the states output in goods and services. Over 28 per cent of small businesses are located in rural and regional Victoria. Small Business Victoria partners with over 35 host organisations to deliver more than 350 workshops and seminars each year and this seminar will be hosted by the Mitchell Shire Council.
