Weekend night coach
23 Nov 2016 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News)
The recently introduced V/Line weekend night coach is proving to be a success. Local residents have been taking advantage of the service, with Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes saying the early take-up of the Saturday and Sunday morning service was proving popular for those wanting to stay out after midnight in Melbourne on a Friday or Saturday night. The service departs Southern Cross Station at 2 am, and travels to Seymour and on to Puckapunyal. Im very pleased that Labor secured this trial service for local residents and that the initial take up is proving popular, despite the recent lack of nice weekend weather, Ms Symes said. The inclusion of the Seymour night service has obviously provided extra incentive for residents to spend more time in the city after dark. It is clear why residents are taking advantage of the trial service, it provides a safer and more affordable way to get home on the weekend. Ms Symes said because this was a trial service, she encourages residents to provide feedback about the service and improvements they would like to see by emailing jaclyn.symes@parliament. vic.gov.au The timetable outlining routes and drop-off locations for the Seymour Night Coach service is now available on the PTV website at www.ptv.vic.gov.au Licensed by Copyright Agency.
