Families in Red Cliffs and surrounds can look forward to more kindergarten and early learning options

thanks to the Allan Labor Government.

Designs are on the way for a new early learning centre in Red Cliffs, which will give more local families access to a quality kindergarten program close to home.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architects has been selected to design the new facility.

The Allan Labor Government is partnering with Mildura Rural City Council to deliver the project. This centre is one of 50 early learning centres across the state that will share in approximately $14 billion as part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reform.

Once open, the Red Cliffs Early Learning and Childcare Centre (interim name) will provide long day care and Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs, with space for up to 57 local children in the centre each day.

The Labor Government is investing billions to build and expand hundreds of kindergartens across the state, supporting the delivery of 15 hours of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten each week by 2029 and up to 30 hours of Pre-Prep each week by 2036.

Through our Best Start, Best Life reforms, the Victorian Government is transforming early childhood education to help children thrive, save families money, and support parents and carers to return to work or study if they choose.
