The Allan Labor Government is backing LGBTIQA+ organisations across Victoria to grow and strengthen their work, enabling them to better support their communities.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced 17 recipients will receive a share of more than $400,000 through this year’s LGBTIQA+ Organisational Development Grants program.

Mallee Family Care will receive $15,500 to improve how community services are provided to LGBTIQA+ Victorians across the Mildura region.

Let’s Talk About X also received funding and will build a community engagement strategy to support expansion of their inclusive consent education into regional areas.

In Victoria, equality is not negotiable, and the Labor Government is supporting the LGBTIQA+ sector through a range of supports aligned with the Pride in our future: Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ strategy 2022-32.

The Organisational Development Grants Program has helped more than 110 LGBTIQA+ groups since it first began – enabling them to grow and develop the services and programs they offer to Victorians.
