Victoria’s paramedics are among the best in the world and the Allan Labor Government will always have their back.

It’s why Labor is delivering a new ambulance branch in Beechworth to support local paramedics.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes today got a first look at the new, two-storey branch as it nears completion later this year.

Located on Frederick Street, it will strengthen working conditions and provide the very latest equipment for paramedics.

When open, the new purpose-built branch will include:

• a three-bay garage for ambulances
• modern facilities including two rest and recline areas
• a kitchen and training room 
• longer-term accommodation
• secure staff car parking

The new branch is being delivered as part of the Labor Government’s $280 million investment in ambulance infrastructure.

This includes 51 new or upgraded ambulance branches across the state – including regional Victoria.

Labor will always back Victoria’s dedicated paramedics – investing more than $2 billion into ambulance services and growing the on-road workforce by more than 50 per cent.

A One Nation Liberal Coalition have a plan to cut $40 billion in services.

That means cuts to paramedics. Cuts to hospitals. Cuts to care.
