The Carroll Labor Government is delivering better sporting facilities for Nyah, with Nyah Recreation Reserve receiving $450,000 through Labor’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that works are now underway at Nyah Recreation Reserve.

The project will build three new indoor cricket nets, upgrade netball facilities and create a new fitness and recreation zone.

The project will support Nyah Football Netball Club and Nyah District Cricket Club, helping more locals play and train close to home.

This is just one of many projects supported through Round 2 of the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund, sharing in almost $24 million to deliver better sporting facilities across regional Victoria.

The Fund supports projects including women and girls’ change rooms, sports courts and fields, lighting, accessibility upgrades and other community sporting infrastructure.

It builds on more than $2.4 billion invested by the Labor Government in community sport infrastructure since 2014, helping communities across Victoria build facilities that encourage more people to get active and participate in sport.
