The Allan Labor Government is making sure every Victorian student has access to a world-class learning environment – with more school upgrades to be carried out at schools across Northern Victoria.
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that 9 Northern Victorian schools are among 46 across the state to share in $22.5 million in Planned Maintenance Program (PMP) funding to prioritise and complete maintenance works on classrooms and facilities.
The schools will use the funding to carry out essential works such as drainage works, fixing roofs, replacing windows, maintaining ramps, painting, resurfacing floors and improving pathways.
Well done to all 9 schools:
- Beechworth Primary School
- Echuca Primary School
- Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School
- Irymple South Primary School
- Kangaroo Ground Primary School
- Kinglake Primary School
- Nichols Point Primary School
- Pyalong Primary School
- Wodonga Middle Years College
Including this latest round of funding, the PMP has funded $128.8 million for 368 projects at 320 schools in 2025.
The Labor Government has now invested $18.5 billion over the past 11 years to build new schools and deliver more than 2,300 school upgrades − supporting more than 30,000 jobs in construction and associated industries.
Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process, which provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools to create a faster and more targeted allocation of funding.
