MID SEASON WIN FOR CORRYONG DEMONS

30 June 2026

The Corryong Football Netball Club will be kicking more goals and growing its ranks with funding from the Allan Labor Government to upgrade their lighting and PA system at Corryong Recreation Reserve.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that Corryong Football Netball Club was among seven facilities across northern Victoria to share in more than $1.45 million from the latest round of the Country Football and Netball Program.

The Program is a partnership with the AFL, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria and has now invested more than $44 million in 600 country football and netball infrastructure projects since 2005.

It helps local councils replace and upgrade ageing grounds and facilities for football and netball clubs across rural and regional Victoria, because everyone deserves equal facilities no matter where they live.

Grants from the latest round include ground resurfacing and new oval and court lighting projects.

This means Corryong Football Netball Club will have room to grow and locals can get on the ground when they want, whether as a player, coach, umpire or volunteer.

The Victorian Budget 2026/27 is also providing $24 million to support the development of high-quality, accessible community sports infrastructure across the state.
