The Allan Labor Government is supporting Victorian schools to meet growing student enrolments, with state-of-the-art multi-storey classrooms to be in place from the start of the 2025 school year at Broadford Secondary School.

Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes today formally opened three new double storey relocatable classrooms, and a relocatable bathroom facility.

The school was awarded $4.5 million towards the project in 2024-25 under the Relocatable Building Program which provides additional classrooms to help create more spaces to meet demand.

These new facilities build on a number of significant upgrades to the school in the last few years. The recent upgrades are a testament to the collaborative effort of the school community and the support from the Labor Government, aiming to accommodate the growing student population and enhance educational outcomes.

Relocatable buildings provide teachers and students with modern learning environments, including double-glazed windows and improved insulation to reduce heat loss, special wall and ceiling linings to reduce internal noise reverberation, energy efficient design and external window shades.

In the past 10 years, the Labor Government has invested $16.9 billion in building new schools and more than 2,200 school upgrades.

The Labor Government is building the Education State ensuring that every child has access to modern learning spaces to get a great education, no matter where they live.
