The Allan Labor Government has opened a brand new ambulance station in Euroa, bringing world-class emergency healthcare to locals in the area.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes today visited and toured the new branch with paramedics stationed there, who will provide 24-hour care to the local community.

Located right next to Euroa Hospital, the new station will support paramedics to quickly respond to nearby emergencies and save lives. The station’s location has been carefully selected to ensure the best coverage of ambulance services for the community.

The new station features state-of-the-art features, so that local paramedics can do their jobs in comfortable, fit-for-purpose and modern facilities. Features at the new station include a three-bay garage for ambulances, training facilities, relievers’ quarters and a fully equipped kitchen.

The station includes important features to enhance the comfort and safety of the station’s hardworking paramedics with two rest and recline areas and improved security and car parking.

The new Euroa ambulance branch is one of the 46 new or upgraded ambulance stations delivered through a $279 million investment by the Allan Labor Government.

In addition to new ambulance stations, the Labor Government has increased the on-road paramedic workforce by more than 50 per cent – equal to almost 2,200 more paramedics.

As demand on Victoria’s health system continues to grow, the Labor Government will always invest ambulance infrastructure across the state, so Victorians can get the best care, close to home.
