REGIONAL GRANTS FOR ALL ABILITIES SPORT IN NORTHERN VICTORIA

People living with a disability in Northern Vic can look forward to more opportunities to be involved in the sports they love, with the Allan Labor Government announcing the recipients of grants supporting even more people to participate on and off the field.
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced 21 grants worth more than $350,000 from the Regional All Abilities Participation Grants program for grassroots sport and active recreation clubs, and not-for-profit organisations.
With grants of up to $25,000, the program aims to increase access, inclusion and options for people living with a disability to reap the benefits of sport and active recreation in regional Victoria.
These clubs and organisations are:
- $14,900 for Rutherglen Golf Club
- $9,777 for SSAA Victoria – Mildura Branch
- $25,000 for Drop In and Take Off Incorporated: All Ability Skate Sessions North East Victoria
- $4, 675 for Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria
- $23,971 for Mitchell Ranges Soccer Club
- $25,000 for Ouyen Mallee Motorcycle Club Incorporated
- $9,525 for Sunraysia Residential Services Inc
- $24,910 for Intereach Limited – Hot Wheels Mildura Wheelchair Basketball Program
- $25,000 for Mildura Lawn Tennis Club
- $25,000 for Bocce Federation of Victoria
- $9,000 for Cohuna Golf Club
- $20,000 for Murray Human Services Inc
- $5,310 for Special Olympics Australia
- $21,408 for Disabled Wintersport Australia Inc
- $4,306 for Yarrawonga-Mulwala Basketball Association
- $23,222 for Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria
- $10,165 for Aruma Services
- $22,168 for Goulburn Valley Sports Assembly
- $18,000 for Greater Shepparton Basketball Association
- $15,262 for Paddle Victoria
- $15,000 for Shepparton Netball Association
The program is part of the Labor Government’s $40 million All Abilities Sport Fund that is removing barriers for people with disability to get involved in sport and recreation across regional Victoria.
Increasing opportunities for more Victorians to participate in sport and active recreation is a key objective of the Labor Government’s Active Victoria 2022-2026 – a strategic framework for sport and active recreation in Victoria.
