Labor is opening two Early Learning Victoria centres in Northern Victoria from 2029. 

It means 24 regional centres will have opened in just five years. 

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced that Alexandra and Seymour will be the next locations. 

The centres will be built at Alexandra Primary School and the Seymour College Agricultural Campus.

Together they’ll deliver more than 200 places for children, with integrated kinder and long daycare programs. 

Families will also be able to access Free Kinder as part of the kinder offering.  

They’ll have consulting rooms for maternal and child health, plus community spaces for other programs. 

Labor opened 14 new government owned and operated centres this year. 

On top of the four opened in 2025, more than 1,800 children can now access high-quality early education in an Early Learning Victoria centre  

Another 13 centres are opening across 2027 and 2028, as Labor delivers 50 Early Learning Victoria centres. 

The Liberal and Nationals have no plan for early education - just cuts, like the $1 billion they cut from education when they were last in office.
